The Pikeville City Fire Department strives to provide a full spectrum of Public Education programs tailored to meet the needs of the city.

The Pikeville Fire Department works with community groups, schools, businesses and other city agencies. By offering quality programs, we provide increased knowledge of fire prevention and safety issues in an effort to reduce the loss of life, injury, and the destruction of property.

Public Education programs include:

CPR/AED Training

Business Evacuation Training

Fire Extinguisher Training

School Programs

Senior Groups Programs

Car Seat Safety

One other area they we pride ourselves in is the safety of children.  Within the department we have 10 people whom have completed the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program.  This means that all 3 of the fire stations are child safety seat check points.  At any time citizens can stop by the fire station and have their car seats checked and installed safely and properly.  While the car seats are installed the parents, grandparents, or caretakers are provided with valuable information on how to keep their little ones safe.
