The Pikeville Fire Department works with community groups, schools, businesses and other city agencies. By offering quality programs, we provide increased knowledge of fire prevention and safety issues in an effort to reduce the loss of life, injury, and the destruction of property.

One other area they we pride ourselves in is the safety of children. Within the department we have 10 people whom have completed the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program. This means that all 3 of the fire stations are child safety seat check points. At any time citizens can stop by the fire station and have their car seats checked and installed safely and properly. While the car seats are installed the parents, grandparents, or caretakers are provided with valuable information on how to keep their little ones safe.
