The Pike County Public Library will hold a Burnout 3: Takedown tournament for ages 12-18 on December 10 in the Teen Room of the Lee Avenue library. Registration begins at 9:30 and game play begins at 10:00.
Pike County Public Library Quilters Group is a quilting social that also teaches quilting and needlework. Participants exchange patterns, quilting ideas, and sewing projects. Both beginners and experienced quilters are welcome! Quilters Group meets alternating Saturdays at noon at the Lee Avenue Library. Local children’s author JD Isaacs will visit the Pike County Public Library (Lee Avenue) on December 15th for a reading of her story, “Tinsel’s Elfcracker Christmas” followed by a lesson in Elf Kwon Do (the North Pole version of taekwondo). The program begins at 5:00 and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
Chess Group meets every other Thursday at 5:00 at the Pike County Public Library (Lee Avenue). All ages are welcome and no experience is required. Learn how to play chess or play against other enthusiasts.
