From February 27th through April 3rd, the Appalachian Center for the Arts will host, with assistance from the City of Pikeville and the Kentucky Humanities, a traveling exhibit produced by the Smithsonian Institute titled Crossroads: Change in Rural America. The exhibit focuses on the changes in society since 1900 and how rural America has adapted. It features photographs, objects, film, audio, and interactives from the Smithsonian as well as complementary exhibits produced locally or on loan from the Big Sandy Heritage Center Museum.

It will also feature a Pikeville Chautauqua performance of Effie Waller Smith at the Appalachian Center for the Arts on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.
