DESCRIPTION:Howdy Friends! Ya’ll can run fer the kids and donate to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital this year! All you gotta do is choose the 5K or 10K distance and get’r dun! We’re excited to be having a live race this year. Join us in beautiful downtown Pikeville at the City Park. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a medal. Also\, we are partnering with Pauley Hollow this year to have a FREE shot of moonshine at the finish line and large jars of the 2022 special edition moonshine available for purchase. The race WILL be timed this year so hit the pavement at a nice and easy pace and run yer hiney off! \nWe will be offering the kids fun run (it’s free) and the 2 mile walk for 2021. \nFeel free to send any questions or suggestions to our FaceBook Page\, Hillbilly Days Run for the Kids.

DESCRIPTION:The 14th Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk for Judi’s Place for Kids is back!!! \nPrizes/ Opportunities: \nCustom event medal and T-shirt included in registration fee!\nGrand prize: One lucky winner will be drawn from registered participants who submit their completion through your Run Sign Up account during the event window.\nMost money raised (individual and team) – Set up your fundraising goal through runsignup.com\, with options to promote through Facebook and other social media. Your fundraising helps make the world brighter for abused and neglected children. It’s easy to ask your family and friends to help you meet your goal. Consider adding a donation of your own when you register.\nCostume contests: The Run with Courage is still superhero themed! This year’s shirt and medal feature will be designed by a local student within our 5 county service area. Everyone who helps a child is a superhero\, and the children who are survivors of abuse are also heroes! Watch social media for details on how to submit your entries for individual\, team\, and pet categories. \nRegistration fee: $25 Pickup option will be available in Pikeville or Prestonsburg\, with details to follow.\nOnline Registration closes at midnight on April 7th. On-site registration will be available at 7:00am the day of the event. \nTo celebrate children in our community and build commitment to the fight against child abuse\, we encourage everyone to participate virtually and to wear super hero costumes to show our support for children facing abuse (send us pictures as you complete your race). All proceeds from the virtual race will benefit Judi’s Place for Kids to continue providing services which promote safety and justice\, hope and healing for children with concerns of abuse. Judi’s Place for Kids provides forensic interviews\, victim advocacy\, medical care\, mental health therapy\, public education\, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
