This film is the 5th of 6 that will be featured in Pikeville\, KY as part of the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers sponsored by South Arts and the University of Pikeville.\nFull Film Description:\nDid you know there are more than 32\,000 mothers in America—many from conservative\, Christian backgrounds—who fully accept their LGBTQ+ children? Spread across the country but connected through private Facebook groups\, they call themselves “mama bears” because while their love is warm and fuzzy\, they fight ferociously to make the world kinder and safer for all LGBTQ+ people. This course will cover all the essential basics to build your abilities in order to make you a more believable fighter. We focus on slaps\, punches\, kicks\, and finishing moves for unarmed and basic offense and defense for broadswords while incorporating these moves into dramatic scenes. While exploring topics such as character objective\, fight rhythm\, and staging\, our actors will learn to create a fight where they are connected and truthful and\, therefore\, more engaging to an audience. There will be a culminating performance to showcase the training received during this class. Class meets three times a week for 10 weeks.
