We focus on slaps\, punches\, kicks\, and finishing moves for unarmed and basic offense and defense for broadswords while incorporating these moves into dramatic scenes. While exploring topics such as character objective\, fight rhythm\, and staging\, our actors will learn to create a fight where they are connected and truthful and\, therefore\, more engaging to an audience. There will be a culminating performance to showcase the training received during this class. Class meets three times a week for 10 weeks. In this class\, you will learn the following: how to use your body and voice to express a full emotional range\, basic script analysis\, what it means to overcome obstacles\, the incorporation of tactics\, secrets\, and objectives\, and why it is important to make bold choices. This class will meet two times per week for 10 weeks. At the end of each course\, a performance of monologues and scenes will be presented to the community alongside pieces from the Audition! course here at The App. \nNo one is ever turned away due to financial hardship.
