DESCRIPTION:This documentary film explores the relationship between faith and family through the lens of Christian mothers with LGBTQ+ children. A Q&A with a representative from this documentary film will follow the screening. This film is the 5th of 6 that will be featured in Pikeville\, KY as part of the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers sponsored by South Arts and the University of Pikeville.\nFull Film Description:\nDid you know there are more than 32\,000 mothers in America—many from conservative\, Christian backgrounds—who fully accept their LGBTQ+ children? Spread across the country but connected through private Facebook groups\, they call themselves “mama bears” because while their love is warm and fuzzy\, they fight ferociously to make the world kinder and safer for all LGBTQ+ people.
