DESCRIPTION:The Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk for Judi’s Place for Kids is back!!! \nPrizes/ Opportunities: \nCustom event medal and T-shirt included in registration fee!\nMost money raised (individual and team) – Set up your fundraising goal through runsignup.com\, with options to promote through Facebook and other social media. Your fundraising helps make the world brighter for abused and neglected children. It’s easy to ask your family and friends to help you meet your goal. Consider adding a donation of your own when you register.\nCostume contests: The Run with Courage is still superhero themed! This year’s shirt and medal feature will be designed by a local student within our 5 county service area. Everyone who helps a child is a superhero\, and the children who are survivors of abuse are also heroes! Watch social media for details on how to submit your entries for individual\, team\, and pet categories. \nRegistration fee: $30. This price helps us cover the cost of the t-shirts for all participants as well as race timers\, bibs\, pins and everything else needed to make sure we have a successful race!\nRegistration by March 24th will guarantee a t-shirt. On-site registration will be available at 7:00am the day of the event. Limited t-shirts will be available for those signing up after March 24th including the day of the event. \nTo celebrate children in our community and build commitment to the fight against child abuse\, we encourage everyone to participate and to wear superhero costumes to show your support for children facing abuse. All proceeds from the race will benefit Judi’s Place for Kids to continue providing services that promote safety and justice\, hope\, and healing for children who have been victims of abuse. Judi’s Place for Kids offers forensic interviews\, victim advocacy\, medical care\, mental health therapy\, and public education. Our office hasn’t been able to have the event due to covid the past couple of years so we are excited to be bringing it back this year! Join us on April 15th\, in the Pikeville City Park for a day full of food\, games\, prizes\, and more! This event is for all families and kids in Pike county or surrounding areas.\n*This event will follow directly after the Judi’s Place for Kids 5K that morning.*\nWe will have:\n✨Cake walk\n✨Pie in the face with a first responder\n✨Small carnival like games & more!\nPrizes will include:\n✨Photography sessions\n✨Tickets to see Blippi live at the Appalachian Wireless Arena\n✨Bicycles\n✨Toys and many more!
