DESCRIPTION:Medicinal plants/herbals/botanicals are the most primitive form of medications on this planet. Whatever the form may be\, plants continue to provide relief and serve as a rich source of pharmaceuticals even to this day. During this talk\, we will learn about the source\, clinical benefits\, side effects\, drug-drug and drug-disease interactions\, cautions\, and contraindications of some commonly known and used medicinal plants. This program will demonstrate how to identify various types of trees by leaves\, twigs and buds\, bark\, flowers\, and other characteristics.\nParticipants will meet at the football field parking lot at the Bob Amos Park at 11:00 on May 15 and walk to the park trails to begin the Walking Tour.
