The Green Apron specializes in culinary nutrition\, food and nutrition writing\, and recipe and cookbook development.\nAs a professionally trained chef and Registered and Licensed Dietitian\, Green is a sought-after culinary nutrition expert\, food and nutrition writer\, recipe developer\, and cookbook industry consultant. After a career in clinical dietetics and food service management\, Green started The Green Apron Company. After working as a personal chef for over 100 clients in the greater Cincinnati area\, Green transitioned to her work as a cookbook editor and editorial liaison for the Joy of Cooking Trust. Green edited the Joy of Cooking (2006) and BakeWise (2008). As a food and nutrition writer\, Green wrote for Humana’s Active Outlook Program and their award-winning HAO Magazine\, as well as Inside Your Town\, a community newspaper. He created a world where audiences were put on edge in suspense and where each film’s psychological twists and turns made hearts skip a beat. Often deemed\, “The Master of Suspense\,” Alfred Hitchcock knew how to capture your mind and run wild with it.\nHistorian Jim Gibbons will discuss the life of Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock and his great influence on the history of filmmaking. Gibbons will discuss Hitchcock’s role as a film producer\, director and his cameo appearances in the films he produced. He will explain Hitchcock’s close working relationship with several Golden Age actors and actresses including James Stewart\, Cary Grant\, Anthony Perkins\, Grace Kelly\, Kim Novak and more. He will discuss his most popular movies\, Psycho\, Vertigo\, Rear Window\, The Birds and North by Northwest. Gibbons will also discuss Hitchcock’s life on and off set. Cynthia Williams Resor\, Ph.D.\, will begin her time-travel tour of this culture of mourning in Kentucky cemeteries by examining the symbols on tombstones and their meanings. Explore customs and beliefs associated with death through the eyes of 19th-century writers and artifacts of mourning such as hair mourning jewelry\, stationery\, clothing.
