DESCRIPTION:Sign your child up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at Pike County Libraries!\nThe Imagination Library program sends age-appropriate books in the mail every month to children under the age of 5 at no cost to the family. Children under the age of 5 with a Pike County address are eligible to register.\nAt the Registration Events\, participants may register their child and pick up a copy of the welcome book\, “The Little Engine that Could” while children make a train craft\, get their face painted\, have a Dolly Dance party\, and enjoy cotton candy! You may stop by anytime during the scheduled period.\nThis program is made possible by the Friends of the Pike County Library District\, the Pike County Early Childhood Council\, The Kiwanis Club\, and Food City!\nRegistration Events are scheduled as follows:\nVesta Roberts Johnson Memorial Library: July 16 from 2:00-4:00\nElkhorn City Public Library: July 17 from 11:00-1:00\nPikeville Public Library: July 19 from 2:00-4:00\nPhelps Public Library: July 20 from 1:30-2:30\nBelfry Public Library: July 29 from 2:00-4:00\nPike County Public Library (Lee Avenue): July 30 from 3:00-5:00 (during the Backyard Carnival)

SUMMARY:Backyard Carnival
DESCRIPTION:The Backyard Carnival will be held at the Lee Avenue Library on Friday\, July 30 from 3:00-5:00. A dozen carnival games will be set up\, including Balloon Darts\, Nerf Gun Duck Shooting\, Fish Pond\, Hoop Shot\, Ring Toss\, and more. Several of the games will feature small prizes. We will also have cotton candy and snow cones!\nThe Backyard Carnival will be outside\, behind the library. In the event of rain\, it will be moved indoors on the third floor. This is our Summer Reading finale; no registration is required.
