DESCRIPTION:Medicinal plants/herbals/botanicals are the most primitive form of medications on this planet. Whatever the form may be\, plants continue to provide relief and serve as a rich source of pharmaceuticals even to this day. During this talk\, we will learn about the source\, clinical benefits\, side effects\, drug-drug and drug-disease interactions\, cautions\, and contraindications of some commonly known and used medicinal plants. The plants that will be discussed are: echinacea\, ephedra\, garlic\, milk thistle\, saw palmetto\, ginseng\, ginkgo\, and St. John’s wort.\nThis virtual presentation by M.
