DESCRIPTION:Harry Caudill\, Man of Courage – Kentucky Writer & Filmmaker Jerry Deaton’s interest in the issues facing eastern Kentucky moved him to write and produce a film on the author and activist Harry Caudill of Whitesburg\, Kentucky. This presentation focuses on Mr. Caudill’s life and on his provocative best selling book “Night Comes to the Cumberlands.” Deaton offers his perspectives on the social and environmental messages Mr. Caudill presented more than 50 years ago\, messages perhaps as relevant today as then.\nThis presentation will be done through Zoom and live streamed to the library’s Facebook page on May 6 at 5:30.
