The mission of the Human Resources Department is to provide services in
personnel management and employment. The framework for Human Resources
is to: monitor personnel actions by assuring adherence to federal, state and local
laws, follow regulations, administer the job classification and compensation plan,
establish and maintain benefits package for employees, and ensure a
discrimination free workplace. Overseeing the hiring procedures for City
positions duties include recruitment, advertisement of vacant positions,
qualifying of applications for interview, new employee processing,
and orientations.
